FAQ
-
What type of dogs do you transport?
We transport any type of pup up to 20lbs (carrier combined) in cabin with a specialized nanny. All pups must pass the “turn test”, which is turning around freely in the carrier without obstruction. If the pup can’t turn around in the carrier, we can be refused at the ticket counter for size restrictions.
-
Do you require a health certificate or vaccination records?
All pups being transported must have a health certificate or records signifying the vaccination status of the pup. They are not required to have rabies vaccinations but must have documentation demonstrating that the pup has a clean bill of health and is free of any infectious disease.
-
Are you specialized in medical care of the pups?
Our team is diligent in ensuring the health and wellness of your pup. They are trained to monitor for signs of hypoglycemia, and we also provide and travel with Nutri-Cal® for blood sugar instability in smaller breeds. Your pup is handled only by the nanny and never touches the ground, people, or other animals. We do not allow cross contamination as many of the furry friends we transport are younger.
-
Do you offer insurance?
Yes, all pups are insured for the duration of the transport. This includes hospitalization, loss, or overnight expenses due to injury.
-
Do you supply your own carrier?
We use our own carriers for transport unless otherwise stated. Between each delivery, our carriers are disinfected using an ozone generator, as well as cleaned with Lysol® and Bleach®. Ozone has been clinically proven to treat and kill simple bacteria including Parvo, Giardia, Coccidia, and fleas/ticks. All of our pups have records in advance signifying their healthy status. However, if you would feel more comfortable, we can provide a new carrier.
-
What carrier do you use and what is the max size?
Our largest compliant carrier is a Large with extensions on all four sides for maximum stretch room. The dimensions are as follows:
12H X 12W X 20L (in)
With all extensions open, this carrier opens up to 2ft by 2ft.
-
Where in the plane will my puppy travel?
Your pup will be with a nanny the entire day. We do not leave their side, and you will get several picture and video updates on every step. In addition, we send out real-time flight trackers, so you can check the status of your puppy’s flight(s). Our goal is to make sure you never have to ask for a status update. We strive to overcommunicate (and send you cute photos)!
-
What is required to book a flight?
After you inquire about transport, we will confirm date/nanny availability, flight times, and ensure a group text is sent out formally to both the breeder/shelter and receiving customer. Once that group text is sent out, we take a deposit for the flight amount, which goes towards the overall cost of the delivery. All remaining funds are paid directly to the nanny upon drop-off at the airport.
-
Is the deposit refundable?
Your deposit is refundable up to 48 hours prior to delivery. If the nanny has begun the journey the day prior and you cancel while they are in transit, the deposit is nonrefundable. If the nanny falls ill or is not able to make the commute to the pickup location, we will find reasonable accommodation to get your pup home. If it is not possible we can reschedule the delivery date, or refund your money in full to you.
-
What is your average cost on deliveries?
Costs are completely contingent on the pickup and drop-off locations. Major city to major city generally will be less expensive than smaller city to smaller city. Price also depends on whether travel is on a weekend or holiday, last-minute or a couple weeks out. Please contact us so we can give you the most accurate information to suit your needs!
-
Can you bring the pup to my house?
Our deliveries are airport-to-airport transport. For an additional cost, we can do a home delivery. Please be sure to let our staff know when you are booking to see if this is an option for you!
-
Do you fly standby or confirmed tickets?
We only offer confirmed ticket options and do NOT offer standby services.
